HyBOSS (Hyndburn Business and Opportunities Skills Support) have appointed their own facilitator. Andy Hunter has been appointed to provide FREE business support for Hyndburn businesses. Andy is the one in the middle shaking hands with Mike Booth the previous HyBOSS chairman. He already has an impressive list of clients and is actively seeking new clients who need FREE business advice and support. Advice is given in complete confidence and without obligation.

The Decorware Hardware shop opposite the Coop on Union Road is under new management. Cyrus and Bapsy took over the shop in September and since then it has been going from strength to strength. Cyrus works in the shop in the morning and Bapsy works in the afternoon.

They hope to extend the shop into the back room and supply plumbing materials in addition to their current lines.

Hyndburn Business and Opportunities Skills Support voted to appoint their own facilitator at their third monthly board meeting on September 24th.

The candidate who had already been short listed and interviewed by the Hyndburn BOSS recruitment panel will start work in his new post as soon as possible.

I received the following email today. It looks authentic but you can tell by the poor use of English that it is fraudulent. NEVER email your bank details to anyone! Your bank will NEVER ask you for such information. If you get a suspicious email contact your bank and don't reply to the email. Fraudulent emails of this type are known as 'phishing' because fraudsters are fishing for your bank details!

The Furniture Clinic Emporium Limited are about to expand their showroom into ajoining premise. Father and son John Bradley will have been in their Oswaldtwistle showroom for 10 years in October.

Previously they had a shop in Whalley Road Accrington but when they moved to Oswaldtwistle they had made their first sale within the first 2 minutes of opening their shop.

John Bradley says he had done a survey and had discovered that twice as much traffic passed along Union Road as passed along Whalley Road Accrington.

Bryan from Stanhill and Andy from Great Harwood started in business in 2002 when E.J. Riley went bust. They buy, sell and refurbish snooker and billiard tables and they have the contract for Riley Snooker Clubs.

B&A Snooker & Pool Ltd already have premises in Accrington but they are mainly for storage. They now have four fitters permanently on the road and are probably the biggest billiard company in the North West.

People have been storing ICE on their mobile phone with an emergency contact number for some time to help the emergency services contact their relatives In Case of Emergency.

The new Utag digital dogtag allows you to enter emergency information such as emergency phone contact, photo ID, GP information and extra information such as medical conditions and blood type.

If you were to be injured in an accident and perhaps unconscious it could save valuable time for attending doctors and paramedics, time which might be the difference between life and death.
