On Bank holiday Monday the Ger-Hana Mongolian Restaurant in Oswaldtwistle’s West End hosted a charity fund raiser for the Miscarriage Association. The event was attended by over forty people and managed to raise £250 for the charity on the night.

Today was the first Sunday in May. The weather was warm and damp and I was wondering what to do with my day. I had thought about finishing the tiling in my bathroom but I needed to use my electric tile cutter outdoors. I was sort of pleased that it was raining.

The young people at Harvey Street Youth Club challenged the Community Policing Unit to a knock out pool competition at Harvey Street Youth Centre. In the Community Safety team, in no particular order, were Lauren; Tracy; James; Rick; Simon; Saj and Richie.

The Christian Institute Church who currently meet at the Youth and Community Centre on Harvey Street are to build a new church. The church will be built on land they own opposite to the Loyds TSB Bank in Oswaldtwistle.
